Il Tesoro estate with its 106 ha, 262 acres, is situated in the ancient metal republic Massa Marittima. Embedded in one of the most beautiful and famous wine regions of Tuscany, the Maremma, one can see the characteristic with its expanded fields, vineyards and olive groves. The Etruscans already knew of the fertility of the soil, enriched with minerals, that allows - in combination with the mediterranean climate - a high quality production of grapes and olives. In these vineyards grows the most characteristic of the Tuscan grapes: Sangiovese, but also extraordinary Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The grapes of Tenuta il Tesoro are transported to Terrabianca and worked the same day of the picking. Tenuta il Tesoro has 4000 olive trees, which many of them are over 350 years old. The fruity oil is cold pressed in the house owned oil press "frantoio". |
